Comparative evacuations Law, Migration Law & Human Rights
Researcher, Human Rights Lawyer & Former Footballer
If not in the classroom, courtroom, or writing, you can find me on the soccer pitch as an Assistant Coach with the University of New South Wales Football Club. With more than 15 years of professional and academic experience in the
fields of migration and international human rights law and policy, including as a Consultant for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), I bring an on-the-ground perspective to high level theory and policy. I graduated
from Arizona State University School of Law in 2005, where my deep engagement with immigrant and LGBTQI+ rights movements and client-centred practice significantly influenced my critical constructivist approach to academic research
and teaching.
